BELL was founded in 1954 in a garage in Bell, California by Roy Richter, who was passionate about auto racing. Roy perceived the need for safety in the auto racing field and moved to put products in place to serve that need. In 1957 BELL began to supply helmets to the USA police and they now produce motorcycle and automobile racing helmets at Illinois using the latest, state of the art, equipment and technologies.
The quality of design and and finish is immediately noticeable on a Bell helmet compared to other manufacturers. One of the first open face BELL helmets, the 500-TX was selected by the Museum of Modern Art in New York for Excellence of Design. Another four Bell helmet models are on continuous display there. We think these helmets are a slightly smaller fit than other makes, so if, for example you are not sure if you are a medium or a large, go for the large!
Contents are ordered by type: Full Face first, then Open Face and Modular. Helmets are arranged by price within these categories.
